Back in 2020, life hit hard. And life still be life'ing sometimes.
Like many people, I was dealing with stress, uncertainty and a lot of emotions I didn’t know how to process. I found myself in a dark place mentally; disconnected, overwhelmed and stuck in a pattern of negative thinking.
I had been through rough patches before but this time was different. Something inside me told me to pause. So I did.
I stopped focusing on what was going wrong. I sat still and started focusing on what was good.
Breath in my lungs. Memories I had. People who cared. Lessons I had learned. It wasn’t a magic fix but it was a shift. That shift, toward gratitude, gave me just enough light to keep going.
And in that moment, I found myself smiling again.
From Gratitude to Laughter
That smile turned into something deeper.
I realized I had found a reason to smile, even while things around me were uncertain. That phrase stuck with me: Find A Reason To Smile.
Then the acronym hit me.
F.A.R.T.S.
It made me laugh. It still does. And I really do think real farts are funny!
But it wasn’t just a funny thought. It was a divine reminder that joy and humor can live in the same place as healing. That’s when I knew I had to share it.
